Australian fans of BBC and ITV TV shows can now watch Britbox Australia on Fire TV stick streaming devices.
I just tried it on out on a Fire TV Stick 4K Max and the login process was quite easy via my phone so I didn’t have to type in the long password on the Fire TV remote.
Once logged in I noticed that new episodes of long running UK soapie Coronation St have been added to Britbox Australia.
This is a good sign that BBC and ITV are slowly clawing back control of their most popular shows from Foxtel and other Australian licencees.
Now that the Britbox app is on the main TV streaming apps stores it would be good if they could add some extra features like Profiles so everyone in the family didn’t have to share the same Watchlist and Continue Watching queue.
