ASUS has launched new multiple products from its Republic of Gamers (ROG) division which the company states are ‘For Those Who Dare: Boundless.’
The new products which are the ROG Strix SCAR 17 Special Edition and the ROG Flow X16 alongside an expanded ROG Slash fashion line are aimed at gamers who want high-performance gaming devices that can last the distance with the company stating that dedicated to giving gamers the best technology, products and experiences possible, with the two new devices dedicated to this mission.
ROG Strix SCAR 17 Special Edition
The ROG Strix SCAR 17 Special Edition comes in a 17-inch FHD 360 Hz or QHD 240 Hz panel option, which is paired with ROG’s exclusive Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal applied to both the CPU and GPU.
The ROG Strix SCAR 17 Special Edition comes with 64GB of DDR5 4800 MHz RAM and PCIe Gen 4 storage in a RAID 0 array. Powering the ROG Strix SCAR 17 Special edition is a 12th gen Intel processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti which can now use up to 175W of power using Dynamic Boost.
In terms of ports, the ROG Strix SCAR 17 Special edition comes with the usual array of ports which include two Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI 2.1, 2.5Gb Ethernet, and USB Type-A ports.
The ROG Strix SCAR 17 Special Edition comes with Windows 11 right out of the box and will be available through the ROG website later this year, although pricing was not made available at this time.
ROG Flow X16
Next up we have the ROG Flow X16 which has a 16-inch display that features the flagship ROG Nebula HDR Display, a dazzling QHD / 165 Hz Mini LED panel with 1100 nits peak brightness and a 100% DCI-P3 gamut.
Powering the ROG Flow X16 is an AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS processor alongside an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU, with support for the XG Mobile family of external GPUs that doesn’t compromise speed and power in such a thin and light convertible laptop.
The ROG Flow X16 features three fans and a high-density heatsink to keep performance high and temperatures low.
The ROG Flow X16 comes with Windows 11 right out of the box and will be available through the ROG website later this year, although pricing is yet to be confirmed.
Expanded ROG Slash fashion line
ROG has also expanded their ROG Slash fashion line of accessories which have been inspired by cyberpunk and the code that builds our modern virtual world. The expanded ROG Slash fashion line includes versatile bag and apparel options, is built with premium materials, and is designed with gaming culture at its core.
