Electric car group buying company Good Car Co have just revealed that they’re going to sell 3 new electric models in the coming months of 2023.
The first model they are announcing is the Peugeot e-2008 due mid-2023.
This is a compact SUV with similar range to the MG ZS EV 2022 which sold well in Australia last year.
The Peugeot e-2008 features
- a 50kWh battery with a 307-331km driving range, so it’s best suited to family and work city driving as well as short day trips eg: Sydney to Canberra.
- Peugeot’s French designed i-Cockpit and 3D instrument display
- 434L boot, 1467L storage with the rear seats folded down
- 100kW DC fast DC charging from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes.
Interestingly the Peugeot e-2008 uses a CHAdeMO charger like Japanese EV’s such as the Nissan Leaf and Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV.
I asked Good Car why that was the case and they said:
Thanks for getting in touch. The e-2008 are pre-loved from Japan and yes they will be a grey import.
If you’d like to register your interest in buying a Peugeot e-2008 from Good Car Co you can do so without putting down a deposit.
Peugeot should rethink it’s naming scheme.
In 2023, a car called e-2008, just feels wrong.
I guess all the good car names have been used already so P use a bunch of numbers
