It seems that the 32GB version of the Nexus 7 is REAL and has been spotted in the wild at Office Depot in the US. The price of the 16GB Nexus 7 has dropped to $199 while the 32GB version is being priced at $249. So if the original pricing difference of the Nexus 7 is to be adhered to, we can expect to pick up the 32GB for $319 here.

A quick check around the retailers websites who stocked the 16GB Nexus 7 in Australia shows no sign of the 32GB version as yet although we are still seeing a consistent price drop to the $269 mark for the 16GB version. With the Google ‘Playground is Open’ event cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy and no sign as yet of another event perhaps we may see them slipping into stores locally, keep your eye out and let us know if you see one.

I believe that these items, including the Samsung Nexus 10, will turn up in shops in the next few days… retailers can’t wait for a big fancy launch party – they have targets to meet, and stock to sell!

Google might end up having a hastily scheduled “launch” in San Francisco, away from the hurricane, to get on with it…
