LG’s Nexus 5X went on-sale in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, India, Korea, and Japan from US$379 just yesterday. Carphone Warehouse in the UK began selling the phones on Friday last week, and day one pre-orders from the Google Store in the US have begun shipping. As the phones are in the wild now, Google has made the decision to unleash the factory images for the phones.
The Nexus 5X factory images – and the associated Binaries – are now available to download from the Nexus Factory Images page on the Google Developers site.
There’s three variants available for ‘Bullhead’, which are at this stage unlabelled. It’s possible, given the history with the Nexus 6, different builds for Project Fi, or several of the US based carriers. The builds are all based on Android 6.0 and carry build version # MDA89E, MDA89F and MDB08I.
