If your appetite for LG’s new Nexus 5X handset isn’t sufficiently whet, then consider the commercial above. Not only is it set to the tune of Major Lazer’s Lean On (one of the most popular tunes used this year to showcase audio capabilities), but it showcases the stunning design of this year’s 5″ Nexus in a short 45 second spot.

While we wait for LG or Google to announce preorder opening for this handset, this advertisement will have to do. Hopefully we’ll have some news in the next few days!

Are you waiting with bated breath like us?

Wondering why it got release first in India and not Australia? Sundar favoring his relatives? โ˜บ๏ธ

Hey ausdroid, please change your misleading headers.

Chris

Sorry about this.. false positive linked to one step too much automation. The banners now won’t come back until one of us has actually confirmed the sale is now on. Pushbullet might get a bit jumpy, but Ausdroid’s site won’t say they’re on sale till we’ve confirmed they are.

TT

Thanks. But do you guys have any news or rumors about when it will release in Australia?

Pumpino

+1. The 19th didn’t happen. Was 22nd suggested previously? No doubt it will be 5am-6am, if history is any indication. If we don’t see it on these rumoured dates, I fear that we may have been overlooked and might be waiting for months.

zeitgeb3r

I hope Google didn’t confuse us to
Austria like everyone else have in North America.

TT

Any sources mentioned about 22nd??? Thanks.

@disqus_6xYFM4cGun:disqus interesting you say that..ATM am in a conflicting state .. i bought iphone 6s+ ..device is amazing..i live in the google ecosystem so..going to ioS wasnt difficult. Luckily what i miss are the widgets but have been able to get away from it with some very amazing “widgets” on the notification bar from Google (to tell u the closest bus stops) others that serve as shortcuts to whatsup, weather, etc.. but still you do make a valid point that $$ is too steep for us in Aus for a nexus phone but reading the reviews the nexus is really… Read more ยป

I’ve been an Android Nexus user and developer since the S. Seriously considering ditching the line.

Who cares about this pointless advertisement? If I wanted consumer hype, I’d go with Apple. Sure, they price gouge customers but Google has joined them. At least Apple releases tend to be handled a bit better than Google dragging their feet.

so who is buying what? NExus 6p or the 5x?
me 5x
…….

Pumpino

I wasn’t going to bite due to the cost, but the camera on my Z3 has been annoying me recently (I’m taking more photos now, and they all appear washed out). The 5X’s camera is reportedly excellent, so I think I’ll fork out the $659, even though it should be $500-550 tops.

I really want the Nexus 6P or a iPhone 6s Plus but damm they are expensive iphone is a incredible above $1229 unlocked from Apple and the 6P starting at $899 (probably worth it more than the iphone but… still too expensive for me!). Kogan are selling the Nexus 6P 32GB for $729 and the 64GB for $799 (100 dollars cheaper then play store) but I will wait and see as this is less then the $499 converted + tax… Also was interested in the Moto X Style but for the price its also not that attractive, and I am… Read more ยป

I understand the Push Bullet false positive, but you guys need to take down the banner on the front page. Some of us can’t contain the excitement.

Chris

We’re sorry about this!! I had checked and double checked our checking process (say that ten times fast) and we had hoped to avoid false positives, but Google likes to mess with us. We’ve removed the automated banner from the site; it’ll require someone to manually check availability before that banner comes back up.

Google is really really bad at dealing with selling products. I was disappointed every year.

James Adina

Good products but lack any marketing skills… from the biggest ad company in the world! Am i the only one who thinks thats weird

cjdacka

Google posted this on their Nexus page too when it was released.

becuasegoogle

I wonder when we can purchase it…
