Google has announced a couple of new updates for their Sheets and Docs for Android with new commenting and charts functions, and Sheets users will be able to access the more than 400 new fonts added to the web version of Sheets earlier this week.
The update to Sheets for Android allows users to add and reply to existing comments, while the Google Docs for Android update lets users to see comments and suggestions in the Print layout view; not only will they be able to see comments, they will also be able to ‘resolve, close, accept, or reject those comments and suggestions’.
The update to Sheets also includes some extra features for charts users, in this latest update ‘if a user a selects a single cell and inserts a chart, we’ll automatically expand that data selection to include the immediately surrounding cells’. When creating a new chart, three recommended chart types will be suggested based on the data selected.
The update to Google Docs and Google Sheets for Android will be rolling out over the next week through Google Play, watch out for the update notification.
