Microsoft has been making quite an effort to support both Android and iOS with their apps, but their hardware is also quite supportive of different mobile OS’s. The Microsoft Band supports both Android and iOS, and from today health nuts can pre-order the Microsoft Band in Australia.

The Microsoft Band will sync with your Android device using the Microsoft Health app which is available from Google Play. The Microsoft Health app will let you view your stats, get a map of your ride, and get insights on your performance.
For all that tech and functionality though, the Microsoft Band isn’t cheap with a $379.99 price tag attached to the unit. It’s pre-order only, but that pre-order period will be brief with units expected to be arriving in users hands by the 21st of January. If the Microsoft Band sounds like your cup of tea, then head over to the Microsoft store and put your pre-order in now.
Or you can walk into the Sydney store and buy one.
Yes indeed. It turns out they’ve been selling this in-store for a while and the appearance online is part of a push next week towards wider retail availability.
For this stupid price I can buy the new Casio android watch. Who will buy the microsoft stuff?
Well seeing that price is cheaper than most Android watches and it has features that Android does not even come close to then it is a good buy if it is what you want, it has been selling out around the world. If you want a watch buy the Casio, if you want a fitness device then this is a great option.
Please keep your fanboy comments to yourself. Making comments about something you know nothing about is just sad.
‘has features that Android does not even come close to’ – get back in your box.
Stop with the ‘Fanboy’ accusations – from your previous comment you know about the availability of the watch, so pot > Kettle > Black.
And if you did your homework, you’d know that the Microsoft Band is hobbled on Android and iOS.
Go back to Windows Phone fanboy
Such a sad comment.
I don’t have a windows phone I have a nexus 4 5 and 6 and a nexus player. I have a moto 360 as well so that shuts your stupid face down. I do not have a band and I have no need for one I love my 360.
The band has sensors and functions that Android wear does not so yes I was right again. It is a good option if it fits your needs why else would Ausdroid post about it.
No one cares Pieter. Your name is spelt stupidly too. Kek.
