All too often we see companies releasing dedicated iPhone apps and neglecting their android customers.

Today Bankwest released an android app to allow their customers using android phones to access their accounts on the go, locate the nearest ATM and a use savings calculator. Bankwest join NAB, Commbank, St George, ANZ, BankSA and Bank of Melbourne who already have apps on the android market. Judging by the market ratings and comments the utilty of these apps vary greatly, but it is good to see companies finally addressing the needs of their android customers.

What other company apps do you find useful? Let us know in the comments.

Thanks to Reece_Wagner for the tip

    Added NAB, thanks.
I’m with ING Direct and i’m also still waiting for a mobile app. They made one for iPhone, nothing for Android yet. At least the mobile website is usable in the meantime

Nab were the first dedicated android app that wasn’t just a link to their mobile site

Boo – it won’t let me install it here in Canada. Looks like I might have to use MarketEnabler.

Nab is one of the first banks ever released a Android version and you forgot to mention that.

Great news. I find the CommBank one very useful, and it’s pleasing to see more companies get on board the Android train.
