Bad news everybody, the anticipated release of the Telltale Games Batman title has been delayed until September.
The game launched yesterday on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles and PC, with the game coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles and Mac later this month. Unfortunately we’ll have to wait a little longer to play the game on our mobile devices with Telltale Games announcing that the game will be in Google Play and the Apple app store on September 13th.
As well as announcing the new launch date for mobile devices, Telltale Games also announced a new feature called CrowdPlay, a local multiplayer option for the game which is essentially a crowd-sourced way to play the game:
Crowd Play allows game owners to invite a group of players to vote on story decisions and give feedback from their mobile devices using any web browser connected online when following along with the lead player on a main screen. The feature is designed to allow 2-24 or more players to enjoy episodes together in their living rooms, and will also accommodate much larger crowds and audiences of over 1,000 at special upcoming live events in theaters organized by Telltale. Crowd Play gives you a new and instantly accessible way to enjoy Telltale entertainment together with a group – it’s an experience that we hope you’ll agree continues to break new ground in the space between games and interactive cinematic storytelling!
And if you still haven’t seen the trailer for the game, check it out here:
STILL not seeing it for Android on my Samsung Galaxy Tablet!!? WTF?! Everyone is excited for newer episodes, and I can’t even download it at all?! How cool can a game really be if you can’t even pay to play it…over it
Yeah, it got delayed again but this time they haven’t announced a date. They just keep signing off their announcements with ‘Release dates for additional platforms will be announced in the near future.’
Their intention to release all five episodes by the end of 2016 looks shakier by the week :/
