The Chrome remote desktop function is a very handy tool especially for those using Chromebooks as well as just the every day Chrome browser, but it appears that isn’t enough for the Chromium team who are apparently working on a native Chromoting App for Android which will mimic the functions of the Chrome Remote Desktop app.
With Android devices getting progressively larger, with better quality screens, and the Android and Chrome teams now working under the same manager, it’s inevitable that we’ll see cross platform complimentary functionality.
If you can remote one way, why not the other? How about remoting to your Android device to run Android Apps from Chrome?

If this App will allow me to control an Android device from my PC (LAN or WAN) than I am all for it. Without this functionality, I find it difficult to provide support to my mother-in-law as I have to constantly drive to her home. BTW, if anyone knows of an App (Paid or Free) which will allow me to remotely control an Android device via the Internet, please let me know.

Hi Peter. Thanks for the link. But at $699, it is cheaper for me to drive down to my mother-in-law’s house to provide support. I might be able to get me a cup of tea too. I didn’t realise that TeamViewer was so expensive. Unlike normal TemaViewer, it looks like QuickSupport is not free for non-commercial use. But thanks anyway.

An you just use normal team viewer to connect to it. Works great!
@Peter & @craigo .. thank you for your all advice. I installed QuickSupport (QS) and used TeamViewer (TV) to check it out. I must say the experience was rather disappointing. Apart from being able to uninstall Apps, there is nothing of a support nature that QS allows you to do. Can I restart the tablet ? No! Can I install new apps ? No! Can I clear cache or troubleshoot ? I used it to install Google+ on my parents tablet, then used it change their location settings (was switching them from latitude to locations). Worked pretty well. It did loose connection once, but I just reconnected and was off again.
Looks like I am missing something. I’ll have another look when I return from a work trip to Sydney on Thursday. Thanks again for you encouraging advice.
