If you were looking for a bargain this Christmas look no further than a full size Google Home which has dropped to an insane $128 at three Australian retailers.

Officeworks, Harvey Norman and JB Hifi have all listed the Google Home at $128, while The Good Guys have seemingly missed the memo listing it for $148 as of this morning they’ve now joined in listing Google Home for $128 – making this a great discount from its normal RRP of $199.

The full sized Google Home offers the full Google Assistant experience with a single 2″ driver and dual 2″ passive radiator speakers included. Far-field microphones tuned with Google AI will pick up your voice from almost anywhere in the room. Google Home is able to answer your questions, control your smart home devices and of course pump out the music with the added bonus of being able to group them for multi-room audio.

Get in fast, there’s no listing on when this special will end.

Is there a major difference, in sound, between the Mini and the Home?

John Bousattout

Great, thanks.
My nephew is 5 turning 6. I’m wondering whether to get a Mini for his room, or a Home for the lounge

I keep telling myself I want to buy a Google Home, and then I cannot come up with anything that I would use it for on an ongoing basis. Help me out, those of you who have, use and love these devices: how will this make my life better/easier/more fun? I have a 5 and 8 year old at home, and a Sonos speaker if that changes the picture?

AdamM

I’d need to invest in some smart lights! I really should just buy one and have a play with it, shouldn’t I?!

I’ve just got back from JB Hi-Fi with a new device. “Santa” has been naughty this year. I’m blaming Daniel.

Is that possible for Google to release Google home V2 very soon?
