In a world of automation, AI and machine learning it’s so refreshing to see a company introduce human input into their systems. That is exactly what Pocket Casts are doing with their new curated lists that is coming to the Discovery tab of their app.
The team will be working with names including Marques Brownlee aka MKBHD, Caroline Crampton, Matt Gourley, James Kim, Jenny Kaplan, Justin McElroy, Kathy Tu and Arielle Duhaime-Ross.
Pocket Casts will be working with well-known podcasters and thought leaders to share their favourite shows so listeners can gain new ideas on what to listen to. This will be entirely human-curated, with the first list rolling out in early February.
Users will also find that their favoured Podcast networks now have a highlights area. This will give you the chance to explore other content delivered from your favourite podcast networks.
There will undoubtedly be more information to come and I’ll certainly be checking out the discovery options when they land.
