It’s no secret I’m a bit of a fan of Jabra’s audio gear; I’ve bought plenty in the past, and kept many a review device too – they just don’t miss. Jabra’s Evolve 2 75 headset got me through the second round of work from home and subsequent bouts of isolation here in Sydney, and I still use it daily to carry out my business. It’s that good.

But what if you’ve already got a heap of gear – like me? Do you need a new headset? Well, the Jabra Talk 65 is making me think seriously about it. Here’s why.

Some people just don’t like bulky or over-the-ear headphones; for them, a slim-line ear hugging earpiece is often the preferred option, and while these have traditionally been a bit of a bulky uncomfortable affair in their own right, the Talk 65 looks the goods.

With 80% noise cancellation and two microphones in a tiny package, you can stay connected for up to 14 hours of talk time (that’s many, many days of use in the real world) and up to 100m away from your phone or laptop – ideal if you get up to go get a coffee or check the mailbox from WFH. Clearly, this is designed to offer hassle-free audio and calls in a noisy home or office environment, and it’ll go all day (or maybe even all week if you’re lucky). Bonus.

Of course, there’s one-touch access to the voice assistant of your platform – Google Assistant or Siri, and with an IP54 rating, you can wear it inside, outside, and probably even in the shower (no, please, don’t do that).

Last but not least, it’s not just for your phone – with up to 8 paired device memories, and able to connect to two at once, you can pair up your phone and laptop so you can handle your contacts without switching between devices to take calls. Nice!

This headset is so danged close to perfect, it’s not funny.
From the specs you list, Chris, all I can see missing is one-touch access to Alexa.
