We got word that Moto G owners were receiving Android 4.4.4 last month, but according to Motorola Australia the rest of the series – Moto E, Moto G 4G and Moto X should all have receive the update now as well.
According to Motorola, the update which reafirms their ‘commitment to offering its users a pure, bloatware-free and seamless Androidâ„¢ experience’, includes ‘an extra layer of security for browsing web content on your phone’, if that’s not a complete enough explanation for you though, Motorola has also listed a complete changelog – for the Moto X at least – over on their support page. The update include :

You’re probably best off downloading the update on your WiFi connection if you’re at all worried about data charges on your phone plan. The update should appear as an OTA notification in your notification tray, but if not, you can always go to Settings > About phone > System updates and check for updates. If you’re presented with a Download prompt this is when you should make sure you’re on WiFi. Once installed you should be right to go, but expect your phone to reboot.
