Optus has put a message on their Facbook page to advise Optimus L7 owners to check their phones for an update which brings faster performance and a new piece of software called QuickMemo which allows you to capture screenshots and annotate them before sharing them.

Attention: LG Optimus L7 owners!

LG has provided a software update for your Optimus L7 that is available now for download and installation.

The update is designed to deliver faster software performance and
includes the new software feature called QuickMemo.

QuickMemo is a handy new feature from LG that lets you capture a
screen image then jot down notes on the screen to easily share the
combined graphic via email, messaging and social network sites.

You may be prompted automatically by the phone to update
your software or you can go to the software update section in the
phones menu at any time to request to download.

Any Optimus L7 Owners should probably try to update manually if you don’t have the notification. I’m not sure how effective this would be without a stylus like on the Galaxy Note but LG obviously wants it out there so be sure to let us know what you think of QuickMemo in the comments.
