Nextbit’s popular phone, the Robin has received a price cut this morning with the company putting the phone on-sale for just $299.

Last month US-based, on-line retailer Amazon started selling the phone for just $299US, a $100 discount on its usual $399US price tag. Unfortunately Amazon wasn’t shipping the handset outside the US, leaving many feeling left in the cold. But Nextbit themselves are matching the deal dropping the price on their website – and they ship the phone just about everywhere, including Australia.

The deal is being offered on both the Midnight coloured, and super sexy Mint coloured editions, with Nextbit even shipping the handset to Australia for free.

Jason was quite positive about the handset when he reviewed it in back in March, calling out the mostly stock Android experience and powerful specs for the price as pros, with that price dropped it’s even better value. Nextbit has also addressed the cons in the review, issuing updates to improve camera performance.

If you’re in the market for a great phone, the Nextbit Robin is a great option with its unique offloading software and media to the cloud to free up local space.

Head over to the Nextbit website and check it out now.
