After a lot of data for a decent price? Optus has cut prices on SIM-only plans, which can get you as much as 80GB for $49.50 per month thanks to a 10% discount. If that’s a little too much for your needs, you can also get a discounted 50GB plan for $40.50 per month.

Here’s Optus’ current SIM-only range:

These plans also include unlimited talk and text, unlimited standard international talk and text to 35 countries (on the 50GB and 80GB plan), data-free music streaming through Spotify and Google Play Music, and a free subscription to Optus Sport.

The 10% discount on the 50GB and 80GB plans is available until the end of March.

If you’re a university student signing up for a new Optus service and are keen for the 80GB plan, your discount rises to 25%. That brings the price down to $41.25 per month if you register before March 22. It is however worth noting that Optus reserves the right to remove the discount “without notice” after 12 months are up. This isn’t the case with the standard 10% discount available for everyone else.
