Snata Tracker
With the flurry of activity surrounding the Chromecast apps this week, Google has added another app to the list of apps compatible with their US$35 dongle releasing their Elf approved 2013 Santa Tracker to Google Play today.

The initial release is pretty rudimentary but it does include the promised Chromecast support which allows you to play a game and there’s two more games that are due to be unlocked in the lead up to Christmas – Memory on the 17th of December and Elf Jetpack on the 19th of December and with Google involved, of course there’s Google Play Games integration, so you can sign into Google+ and share your high scores.

And finally, of course, the app will track Santa. There’s a countdown timer in the App which is counting down to the start of Santa’s journey at which time the Santa tracker will unlock and you’ll be able to track Santa in Google Maps – or in Google Earth if you select it from the menu.

It’s a fun App especially if you have kids, the games are fun, but it seems a little strange they haven’t included the other HTML5 games that are included on the Santa Tracker website, although if you have a Chromecast you can cast the Tab you’re using to it as a quick and dirty solution. Jump on over to Google Play and download the Santa Tracker now.
