There was some excitement yesterday, as newly installed Google+ head, Dave Besbris announced on Google+ yesterday that he was ‘Looking forward to tomorrow.’ before adding ‘This should be fun. :)’. We now know what he was excited about, with Google announcing a new Poll system for Google+.
The polling service is a result of their purchase of Polar announced last month, which Google said they would shut down by 2015. But never fear because taking polls on Google+ isn’t going anywhere. You can now insert polls into your Google+ stream on the web, with Android support rolling out over the next few days, with iOS support coming soon. New polls allow you to put up to five options into a poll and have users participate.
Not a bad feature for personal use, but brands such as Loreal and The Hunger Games already jumping onto the Poll wagon. Try out a few yourself and see what you think.
