Ready for some new functionality in word processing, spreadsheets and presentations? How about a better way to find documents in Drive? Google has you covered, adding updates to their Docs, Slides and Sheets apps as well as a new way to search Drive.

Google has advised a new update to their office productivity apps, is rolling out in Google Play, with a few new bits and pieces. According to the Google Apps Blog :

The Docs app now has line spacing controls that let you choose single, double or fractional line spacing, the Sheets app has new scrollbars for faster navigation, and the Slides app now supports inserting, moving, resizing, and rotating text boxes, shapes, and lines.

All three apps are now even friendlier with Office files with easier file creation and other updates, and we’ve added better accessibility options.

If you love voice search, then you’ll love the new update to Google Drive which is now going to support ‘Ok Google’ to search for files. All you have to do is say ‘Ok Google search for letter to dad’ in the Google Search app and it will now trawl through your Drive files and find the doc. Google will also now let you access and share custom maps from Google My Maps.

Google is rolling out the update to all four apps over the next week, so make sure you have them installed on your Android device now.
