Google Search
Google is continuing to change their mobile search functions, adding improved functions and for the most part making your life easier each time. The latest tweak which they announced on their Google+ page, is the ability to place orders for takeaway food directly from search results.

The service will tie-in with local restaurants, giving you a ‘Place order’ option in the mobile search results if available. Once you tap the option you can choose delivery and then you’ll be directed to the sites website to choose your food.

The new function only works with six providers – all US based – at the moment, with Seamless, Grubhub, Eat24, Delivery.com, BeyondMenu and MyPizza.com all on board for the initial trial, though Google says they’ll roll it out to other vendors in the future – perhaps even to more countries.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on this function and look forward to seeing it if it ever arrives in Australia.
