Adobe has today released a new range of apps to Google Play, pushing Adobe Photoshop Mix, as well as Creative Cloud tie-ins Brush CC, Color CC, And Shape CC to the Play Store.
The Photoshop Mix app is the largest release, with Adobe attempting to cover the functionality of the Photoshop Touch app which was pulled from Google Play a month ago. Photoshop Mix is apparently designed to give seamless access to Photoshop Creative Cloud on your desktop, but does give some decent photo editing capabilities on its own, including
- Cut out and remove sections of your images or merge multiple photos.
- Seamlessly combine photos together to create fun or surreal images.
- Adjust colors and contrast or apply preset FX Looks (filters) to your pictures. Enhance the entire image, or just a portion with the touch of your finger.
- Non-destructive editing means your original pics stay pristine and untouched.
- Quickly and easily share your creations on social media.
If you’re also into Photoshop in a big way, there’s also three new tools released, Brush CC, Color CC, And Shape CC which tie-in to the Adobe Creative Cloud suite.
Adobe Color CC allows you to ‘Sample colors around you to create themes you can use in Adobe desktop apps like Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.’, while Adobe Brush CC lets you ‘Turn your photos or graphics into high-quality brushes that you can use in Adobe Photoshop CC or Illustrator CC’ and finally, Adobe Shape CC helps ‘Quickly capture and convert images into vector graphics that you can use in Adobe Illustrator CC or Adobe Photoshop CC’.
All the apps are available in Google Play to download for free – though the Adobe Creative Cloud subscription they tie into does attract a cost. Bear in mind you’ll need an active internet connection and Adobe ID to use the tools as Creative Cloud is an online service.
Incompatible worth Notes?? You really are hopeless Adobe.
PS Mix incompatible with Galaxy S5. WTF???
Or indeed tablets.
In fact it only claims compatibility with my N5.
Death to subscription software.
