It’s December, so for a portion of the community that means Christmas is near. Google’s Santa Tracker has been updated for 2015 and it’s looking just as fun and festive as always.

There’s two components to the Santa Tracker, the website and of course the Android app. The Android app has been updated on Google Play overnight and it’s again got Chromecast support, so even if you can’t load it on your Android TV you can at least cast the countdown to the big screen. Also included in the app is a redesigned Santa village and updated Android Wear app as well as a new game.

The Santa Tracker website is full of fun games, as well as educational content for school children with handy lesson plans available for teachers to download as they explore Christmas traditions around the world. They can also learn about the ‘Season of Giving’ which covers conservation and charitable associations with links to the Jane Goodall Institute, WWF, Agastya, SolarAid, Charity Water and The Nature Conservacy.

The Santa Tracker itself, which gives an approximate GPS location of the jolly, red-suited fat man, will go live on the 24th of December so you can check progress and kids will know when they have to be in bed.

The app and website are both live to check out right now. Head over and check them out.

    always love the santa tracker.
Had a play with the website last night (google maps was telling me number days until Santa takes off – so i clicked).
The Coding Puzzle game was quite good, guess its their way of possibly showing/introducing kids to coding.
