American media and entertainment company NBCUniversal has today announced a new TV service launching next month in Australia, Ireland and the UK, offering a range of reality based TV shows available on connected TVs and devices.

The hayu service will cost $5.99 per month but will be contract fee with a 1-month trial on offer when the service launches next month, offering over 3,000 episodes from top reality shows. The service will offer previous shows, as well as new content which will be added to the library on the same day as their US launch, with NBCUniversal planning to add over 500 episodes per year. Shows on offer include:

  • Botched (Seasons 1-3)
  • Flipping Out (Season 1-8)
  • I Am Cait (Season ! & 2)
  • Keeping Up with the Kardashians (Seasons 1-12)
  • Made In Chelsea (Season 1-10)
  • Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles (Season 1-8)
  • Shahs of Sunset (Season 1-4)
  • The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (Season 1-6)
  • The Real Housewives of New York City (Season 1-7)
  • Top Chef (Seasons 1-13)

…and many more.

As a unique differentiator for the service, short-form snippets from selected episodes will be available to share on social media and other places. The hayu service will also include a curated news feed and other social media feeds, including access to the social media accounts of hundreds of reality TV stars.

NBCUniversal intends to offer applications for viewing their content on a full range of devices including smartTVs, phones and tablets, with further information to be released closer to launch. So far, hayu has only shown off screenshots of their iPad app, but we’re hoping to get a look at their Android app soon.
