After teasing the new update to their app at the end of last month, Waze has brought version 4 to Google Play and it’s ready to download.

The new app brings a cleaner design, which they say is easier for users to navigate, report new instances and share information with their fellow ‘Wazers’. The maps, menus and road reporting have all been updated to have higher visibility by using brighter buttons and colour coded pins, it’s also got less clutter.

The full Waze changelog from Google Play advises:

WHAT’S NEW

Version 4.0 introduces a fresh new design for easier navigation, reporting, and sharing.
* Significantly reduced battery consumption.
* Fewer taps to start your drive, send locations and directions.
* New ETA panel organizes everything you need in one place. View reports, check alternate routes, add a stop on the way, or instantly send ETA to friends and family. * Smart notifications to leave on time for your Calendar events based on traffic conditions and drive times.

If you’re a Waze fan, install the update and let us know your thoughts, if you haven’t used Waze before it’s probably time to try it out; grab it for free from Google Play today.
