Already one of the killer features of Google Photos, Google is adding a couple of new features to shared albums from today, launching comments and smart suggestions.

The new features are coming to Android (and iOS) in version 1.20 of the Android app, which will let people comment on both photos and the album itself. The feature will allow you to add some context to photos or album, or just comment on that stupid hat you were forced to wear during Christmas lunch.

Smart Suggestions are a new option which will automatically suggest which pictures to add to a shared album. Or as Google says

you’ll now see smart suggestions for the right photos to add. No more searching for photos from last weekend’s birthday party and picking out the perfect ones – now you can add your best photos from the event in one tap.

The updates are rolling out to Android and iOS now, so make sure you keep an eye on Google Play for the prompt to get the latest updates.
