The newly rebooted Ghostbusters movie is about to roll into cinemas across the globe and whether you want to see it or not, the nostalgia that makes you want to strap on a proton pack and hunt ghosts is there. Australian developers HalfBrick Studios are ready to help you do something about it with their Ghostbusters themed Fruit Ninja update.

The update has gone live in Google Play giving you the chance to take out Slimer, the Stay Puft Marshmallow man and all the new ghosts from the new movie. There’s loads of content built into the update including:

  • NEW MODE – The ghosts have taken over New York City! Your mission? Battle six familiar foes in a spooky new tournament to save the world. Heads up: the ghosts have taken to hiding in fruit!
  • NEW BLADE – Proton Pack? Bet it can’t do what the Ghostbusters Proton Blade does! Draw an ‘X’ to cross the streams and spawn energy traps. Your very own containment units? Hell yeah!
  • NEW DOJO – The ghosts have frozen all the fruit! Return to New York City and test your ninja skills against the greatest menace the city has ever faced. The power of Patty compels you!
