Inbox
Google’s rollout of Inbox has been slow, initially only available for Gmail accounts, it was eventually rolled out to Google Apps accounts several months later. Now it appears that Google is ready to roll it out to another segment of the Google Apps world, Google Apps for Education.

Google Apps for Education is the suite of apps that Google provides schools and educational institutions that the entire faculty and student body can use together. The lack of Inbox support was raised on the Google Support forums, where a copy of email from the Google Apps team was uploaded:

As you can see in the email, administrators will be able to restrict access to the app from their administration console.

Google Apps for Education is used fairly extensively in Australia, recently the Australian Google Blog announced that more than 45,000 students in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) were using Google Apps and learning on Chromebooks.

Inbox by Gmail offers a number of benefits over Gmail as an app, with bundles, smart replies and more included as part of the app. We’ll likely see a more official announcement coming soon.
