The availability of Android Pay in Australia has grown again this week with the addition of Credit Union South Australia.

Customers of Credit Union SA can now add their Credit Union SA Visa debit or creidt card to the Android Pay app and start tapping an paying. The setup is the same as other banks and financial institutions, download the app from Google Play, add your card and start tapping.

The addition of Credit Union SA brings the total of institutions offering Android Pay in Australia to 41 with ANZ, AMEX, Macquarie Bank, Bendigo Bank and ING the biggest names to join so far. There are still more coming however with Westpac group institutions which includes St George, Bank SA and Bank of Melbourne still listed on the Android Pay site as ‘Coming Soon’.

Of course if your bank isn’t even looking at Android Pay – we’re looking at you NAB and CommBank – and you’re sure you want it, you may want to start voting with your wallet and check out what the banks who are offering Android Pay support can do for you.
