American Express along with ANZ were very much on board for the launch of Android Pay in Australia. The compnay has started a good promo for AMEX customers using Android Pay, offering $10 back on a $20 purchase when you use the service.

The promotion covers both the Tap & Pay side of Android Pay, as well as in-app purchases using Android Pay using apps like Bountye, Deliveroo, Dominos and Catch of the Day. Simply make a purchase spending $20 or more, in one or more transactions by 20 October 2016 to get your $10 back.

Update:
Looks like it may be in-store only with the AMEX website advising ‘You can make purchases using your compatible Android mobile device at any store in Australia that accepts American Express contactless payments’.

Now, this being a financial offer there’s fine print. First, your AMEX card has to be issued by AMEX, not a bank issued AMEX. You can only claim this once, and you also need to register on the AMEX website or in their app before you make your purchase, with only the first 10,000 cards registered eligible for the offer.

If you want to check it out you can head over to the AMEX website to learn more.

Yup, saved! I have been using AP for my lunches at a local Noodle place…

And thanks for that clarification on in-app use. Otherwise, I would have ended up with heaps of takeway using EatNow without any credit back.
