customer-care
At the Made By Google launch event this morning, Google unveiled the new Pixel and Pixel XL, as part of the launch Google announced some exclusive features for the phones including 24/7 customer support for the phones.

The 24/7 feature does look good and goes to show that Google is serious about their new hardware venture. The new 24/7 Customer Care option means, you’ll be able to access a Google customer support person via phone or chat 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Customer Care option will be built right into the phone, and as part of this integrated function you’ll even be able to give a customer support rep access to view your screen.

Google Director of engineering Dave Burke has confirmed to us that the 24/7 option will indeed be launching as a global option in all markets the Pixel is launching in. That’s some great service.

This article was updated to reflect global availability of 24/7 support

I’m not holding out much hope since the support feature of the Device Assist app (RIP) never made it to Australia.
