The beautiful Backdrops on Chromecast are a great part of the experience, and now Google is offering Pixel owners the chance to have their photos added to Backdrop.

Google is asking any Pixel (or Pixel XL) owners to simply tag their photos shared on Instagram or Twitter with #teampixel to be considered. If your pic catches the eye of the Google team, they’ll reach out through the platform to give you more information on how to be features – most likely with where to send a full resolution version of your photo.

Google has shared a few tips on how to increase your chances of being considered advising that they should be landscape orientation, family friendly, and not contain any people, logos, watermarks or branding. Suggestions for what to submit includes Landscapes, Macro, Nature, Animals, Abstract, Life, Cities, Buildings and Textures.

There’s no prizes on offer beyond having your picture potentially seen by millions of people. If you want to give it a go, get out there this weekend and start snapping.
