What you see above is a side-by-side comparison of the HTC Desire with both a Super LCD (left) and AMOLED (right) display. AMOLED seems to have more intensity and brightness whereas the Super LCD has more sunlight legibility and a more accurate representation of colour. More comparison pics if you hit ‘Read More’..

Well I have no idea what mine has because the packaging only says “3.7 inch touch sensitive screen” see attached image…

This was purchased in early August from Jb-HiFi Hobart
if it is AMOLED it will say on the back of the box in the specifications “Display 3.7-inch AMOLED touch-sensitive screen”
Hmmm don’t know which one I have now, my screen is nice and bright, outdoor legibility is pretty bad but battery life is OK. The box had no mention of AMOLED anywhere, is there a way to tell which one you have ?
I think I prefer AMOLED :]
