According to the crew over at Techlogg, Boost Mobile have just launched the low-end Huawei U8300 for $149, making it Australia’s cheapest prepaid Android device. The U8300 isn’t all that feature packed, and lacks amazing specs, but what it doesn’t have in specs it makes up for in it’s insanely low price point. It’s almost at the price where you can forgive it for having a 2.6″ QVGA resistive display, as it’s a great little phone for non-stop ‘texters’ and social networkers. Hit the break for full specs.

this phone kicks butt, i didn’t know bout android system, great intro to it, keyboard accesability,handylight button wi-fi hotspot touchscreen and that roller mouse in the middle is just the start people, blown me away

wow this looks like crap… it doesnt matter about being the cheapest, if the phone is not pratical or it is just crap cheap shit just so you can have android but restricts you in certain ways, I would not like this at all.. Bloody rubbish

I don’t get this at all. Two back buttons but no menu button? And where is the search button?

A quick search brings up the screen res of 320 x 240 (eww btw) but what is the CPU/GPU? And more importantly what version of android?

Not that I really care with a resolution that low and a keyboard layout that stupid 😛
