How are we, readers? Enjoying the long, long, long weekend? I sure know that Team Ausdroid has. So we thought we would ease back into the usual news starting with a few completely over-the-top video ads for the Samsung Galaxy S II, which is on its way to Telstra. Each is more stupid clever than the last. I don’t know about you, but after watching these videos it’s made me think I need a goldfish and a girlfriend who loves apologies via picture messages. 3 more videos after the break.

Are there any rumours about whether this phone will be available on Vodafone? If not, are any of the other dual-core phones expected to land at Vodafone anytime soon?

As Big Kev says: “I’m excited!”

Said*

Big Kev died?

Yeah. Was back in early December 2005.

Lol why have an advert showing the phone being dropped in water if it’s not waterproof?

Why have an advert of someone trying to text whilst driving if it’s illegal?

why show an eskimo using the phone when we all know they’re extinct, like dodo’s and unicorns?

Unicorns aren’t extinct. Apple are hiding them and continuing to breed them in order to ground down their horns into fine dust to power the iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad.

Is apple really hiding Unicorns ? And if so then can’t believe they still exist

Duh… rather than voicing a text, wouldn’t it be easier just ringing and talking? Samsung’s reinventing the whatsit…

I think Samsung are very good at getting me to wait for their stuff.

GET TO AUSTRALIA ALREADY!

I think if we all just yell aimlessly into the Internet, it will get here sooner.

COME HERE PLEASE GALAXY S II.

Is the commercial showing the man driving shot in Australia? It kinda looks like he’s driving a Falcon.

It certainly looks like it, doesn’t it. Hmmmph

Left hand drive guys..

I meant the Falcon, not the Aussie bit.

Though I am a ‘massive fan’ of the overdubbing of the voices.

That’s pretty weird. It looks exactly like a Falcon, except it’s an American ad, plus they never made any left hand drive versions.
