So I was just browsing the Sony Ericsson Australia site, and was pleasantly surprised to see that the Xperia Mini and Xperia Mini Pro are both “coming soon” to Australia, though no Carriers have been announced just yet. The Xperia Mini devices are an upgrade from the older, smaller and less powerful Xperia X10 Mini series which were, and still are, available from all Carriers. I haven’t yet been able to play with either of the two new devices, but I can only hope that their loudspeakers are as amazing as on the old Xperia X10 Minis because they were incredible.

We can actually date the Xperia Mini Pro all the way back to January when it was first leaked out and a few days later was benchmarked, giving a pretty snappy result. Hit the break for a quick comparison of the older devices against the newer Minis.

Haha… whoa.
These handsets were announced several months after the Xperia Pro and will come out before it.

That’s a bit frustrating as I’ve been waiting for the Xperia Pro for sometime.
Obviously their first generation of Minis did pretty well for them and hence are a higher priority.

I saw these on the SE website at least a month ago, haven’t heard about them anywhere else.
