Google has just sent out invites for an event to be held at 2pm PST in Los Angeles on the 16th of November(9am AEDT, November 17th for us). The Verge is reporting that their sources are advising the event is for ‘Google Music’ and with a title like ‘These Go To Eleven’, I’m seeing a Spinal Tap reference and according to Engadget the email was sent from ‘Nigel Tufnel’ so I’m inclined to agree. The event will be live streamed via the Android YouTube Channel YouTube.com/Android so we can all watch it.

Personally I’d love to see Google Music bought out of Beta and launched as a fully functioning product, with cloud hosted music locker and also music purchases which can be automatically added to your locker. What I’d really love to see is a Worldwide release of the service, so everyone can access it without having to employ a hack to get around a region lock. With the launch of Google Books to a variety of markets recently I’m inclined to believe that this may be a push before the launch of Ice Cream Sandwich and Galaxy Nexus which is rumoured to be on November 17th, to have more Google services available to more markets. You never know maybe we’ll see Movies as well. What do you think is going to be launched?
