Google announced a new product this morning called Google Currents, it appears to be a new way to aggregate all your RSS feeds into a magazine style layout. Currents seems to be aimed at people who like a more visual layout than what you`d find in Google Reader. Unfortunately, it`s US only at this stage, when trying to install the app from the link on the Google mobile blog you get this :
From the information on the blog it appears that sites can offer a Currents optimised version of their RSS feeds

In order for sites to offer content that is compatible they`ve set up a site to allow them to customise their content. I noticed that Android Central actually has been included in the list of partners listed.
One thing I did notice in this video from Google is that they showed a tablet running Ice Cream Sandwich, anyway check out the video :
I`m seeing alot of comparisons to an iOS app called Flipboard but having never used this app I can`t offer any comparisons, the closest app I can come to describing it without actually getting my hands on it, is Pulse. It really is a shame that this has rolled out as US only as it looks pretty slick from that video, I can`t wait to get my hands on it.
Yeah loaded this up on my sgs2 the other day. Runs fine although I’m finding out it cuts the article into pages you have to swipe through somewhat annoying

Side load from XDA on my Nexus S is working sweet as! Very cool app.
Using on my xoom and GS2 thanks to XDA. Works well on the xoom, having a few issues with it on the phone.
Yup.. my first question was going to be where’s the apk? Lol
Luckily with Android it’s easy enough to side load these things. It’s surprisingly laggy on the Galaxy Nexus.
