After a false start late last month that turned out to only be for the US market, it appears that Sony will finally update their Tablet S to Ice Cream Sandwich by the end of this Month. The tweet confirming the Ice Cream Sandwich update will be coming to all regions, came from the official twitter feed for Sony US :

CNet has advised in their post that a Sony rep has confirmed that Tablet P owners can also expect their Ice Cream Sandwwich by the end of the month as well. This announcement co-incides with Sony Japan announcing that both the Tablet S and Tablet P will be receiving their update to Android 4.0.3 on May 24th.

I’m just speculating here, but if the update is done for the P in Japan, I can see no reason why it would be held back for other regions. Anyway, Tablet P and Tablet S owners, you should see the update by the end of the month, we’ll let you know if any further info comes out, you guys let us know if you see it on your device in the meantime.

Not Happy Jan

So my bro gets ICS on his bloody Samsung S2 before I get it on my tablet. Talk about leave it to the last minute. End of May, not kidding. Only been checking my tablet every hour or so. Best be happening soon, I could use the folder option that ICS has right about now.

Hurry up Sony, get ya **** together and release it ASAP.

Strange. The tablet at work was showing the update was available then disappeared
