The Dark Knight Rises movie tie-in game from Gameloft launched on the Google Play store yesterday, the same day as the movie landed in cinemas. Priced at $7.49 the game offers players a chance to explore Gotham City in 3D as only Batman can, using his grappling hook to swing between buildings or pilot The Bat or Bat-Pod to navigate to misiions and then mete out justice to the criminals of Gotham using a combination of punches and kicks or tools such as the Batarang.

The Game looks excellent visually based on the trailers, although the high quality visuals come at a cost, the game has an initial download of 1.8GB and commentors are saying that it requires a further 1.8GB of downloads once you load the game. The Dark Knight Rises is available for devices running Android 2.2 and upwards.

Gameloft games have not yet disappointed in terms of quality so when they ask $7.49 I’m usually pretty Ok to pay the price, I’ll grab this and hopefully launch into a full review which I’ll post. If you want to assume the mantle of the Bat then head over to the Google Play Store and download it.
