Vodafone has published their weekly software update report, and the Galaxy S III is indeed a worthy mention — as we reported a little earlier today. Vodafone have confirmed that Samsung will be submitting the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy S III soon.

“Manufacturer preparing update for submission to Vodafone for testing.”

Vodafone don’t have an exact date, obviously, so one can only assume a release date for end users. We’re thinking some time in early October, or maybe late September if everything goes without a hiccup. Are you excited, Galaxy S III owners?

What about the Samsung Galaxy Note Phone?

Samsung has been “preparing update for submission” for the Galaxy Nexus for roughly a month now 😉 I don’t expect the S3 to take long since it’s their flagship product.

Spot on. Updates are going to go to where the demand is, and demand is seemly endless for the Galaxy S III.
