There has been a rumour floating around the blogosphere the past day or two regarding the possible launch of the Samsung Galaxy S 4 (or IV, depending on what conventions Samsung would go with) early next year. While that may well and truly happen, Samsung have put it on record that this isn’t happening — at least not just yet. In a tweet that has been translated by Korean news site Daum, Samsung have stated the following:

“some in the media reported speculation that the Galaxy S3 subsequent models will be released a simple rumor one , but this is not true” – Samsung tweet

Why would Samsung be denying the rumours? For obvious one simple reason: they want people to keep buying the various Galaxy S III models and not wait around for the next big thing — the Galaxy S IV. There’s no doubting that the rumours for the Galaxy S IV are going to come thick and fast leading up to MWC next year — it’s in the hands of the internet hype machine now. For now: how’s that Galaxy S III going for you?
