Vodafone has just announced that the Samsung Galaxy Note II will be available in-store and online from December 5th on their $50 Plan with a $10 monthly handset repayment on a 24 month contract(total min cost $1440), other plans will no doubt be available but at this stage the Note II is not showing up on the Vodafone website.

Update : The Galaxy Note II from Vodafone is the N7105 4G enabled model so it will run on their existing 3G network which Vodafone has spent 22 months upgrading as well as being ready for the 1800MHz 4G LTE network that Vodafone intend to begin rolling out to major metropolitan areas in 2013.
Vodafone mentions their plans to rollout a 4G network next year however have not at this stage advised if the Note II they are releasing is the N7105 4G Enabled model, we have contacted Vodafone for clarification and this will be updated as they advise.

Vodafone are the 3rd carrier to announce their pricing and plans for the phone with Optus and Virgin Mobile already taking pre-orders for the ‘tweener’ device. Telstra will begin selling the device as of next year according to their blog but have not yet announced any details.

Not just Telstra is a joke, the way the release of this device is handled is one too.
Announced globally in August, again officially released in Australia in November, yet, no carrier actually seems to have it in stock, only grey imports. As much as I love Samsung and a Note 2, announcing something without availability just to annoy the fruity company seems a poor strategy.
