Sony Xperia
Sony has supplied an update on the rollout of Jelly Bean to their 2012 Xperia Smartphones. For a start the update to Jelly Bean will be to Android 4.1 not Android 4.2, the blog advises that they are particularly excited about the Sony Xperia Jelly Bean features and functionality and will provide more information on this in the New Year.

First up the good news, the Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V will begin to receive the Jelly Bean update during February and March. The Xperia P, Xperia J and Xperia Go will be upgraded from the end of March with the Xperia S, Xperia SL, Xperia Ion and Xperia Acro S following in the weeks after.

Now the bad news, the Xperia U, Xperia Miro, Xperia Tipo, and Xperia Sola will not see an update to Jelly Bean, instead they will remain on Android 4.0.

Sony advise there will be further updates and details later. Remember these updates all have to pass carrier testing before it rolls out to your device so we’ll have to see exactly when the update arrives.

That is a ridiculous waiting time considering how long Jelly bean has been out for. Lucky I don’t own one of those phones.
