Google Earth is a pretty neat application already, but Google has gone ahead and made it even more awesome with the latest update, which pulls geotagged photos from your Google+ account, displaying them on the map as thumbnails, which expand when you tap on them.

In the slide-out navigation bar, you simply tap on the option for ‘Google+ Photos’, sign into your Google+ account and then select what Album you want to show. I take a lot of photos on my mobile, and it’s so much better looking at them displayed on a map rather than in a boring gallery.

I can’t remember the last time I installed or used Google Earth, on Android or PC. Google Maps covers everything I need. What does Earth do that Maps doesn’t? Can’t think…?

Yeah, it’s a cool application but doesn’t really have much use. This new photo feature is pretty rad though. I can actually see myself using it.
