LG Optimus F3
LG has today announced that the latest in their line of 4G enabled F-Series budget minded handsets the Optimus F3 has been launched as a Pre-Paid handset on the Telstra Network.

Available from today through Telstra stores, including partners such as FoneZone and Leading Edge, the Optimus F3 will be sold for $249 and will connect to the Telstra 4G Network.’

Andrew Volard, Telstra Director Devices says

We’re excited to add the LG Optimus F3 into our pre-paid 4G smartphone line-up. It is an affordable handset that is packed with great features making it the perfect device for customers who want to experience the benefits of superfast 4G on a budget.

It is an ideal handset to give as a gift and being pre-paid customers can choose what they spend and select from a range of great pre-paid offers including the Telstra Pre-Paid Cap Encore, which offers free talk & text 6pm-6am to standard Australian numbers,

With the budget consicous consumer in mind the F3 still packs a decent punch with a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core SoC and 4″ WVGA(800Γ—480) resolution IPS Display. The F4 comes with 4GB of internal storage but has a MicroSD Card slot which will support cards up to 32GB. With a 5MP rear camera on board and 2,460mAh battery, the F3 is powered by Android 4.1.2.

Lambro Skropidis, General Manager Marketing for LG Electronics Australia says of the F3 :

With the creation of the F-Series, LG is realising its goal of giving consumers access to high-speed 4G enabled devices at affordable pricing. We are focussed on achieving this without sacrificing usability or holding back on the latest features we recently introduced into our top of the line flagship handsets only a few months ago.

Price, however, is just one of the many attractions of this device and we have worked extremely hard to pack in our latest user friendly software features to optimise the usability of the handset.

There’s a huge range of software included on the F3 which was first introduced on their more premium devices such as the Optimus G, such as QuickMemo and QSlide as well as Camera software enhancements such as Time Catch Shot and Beauty Shot.

If you’re in the market for a budget range 4G handset on the Telstra network then check out the LG Optimus F3 and see what you think.

This is $50 more than the Motorola RAZR M and the only spec that is better is the battery by about 400mAh. It should be at least $70 cheaper.

I don’t normally bother checking the specs of the lower end phones, but wow, 2460mAh battery on a 4-inch phone?! This may be the phone for my mum I’ve been searching for… Though I’m still holding out for the Moto G.
