Motorola has today rolled out a new version of its Gallery app through the Google Play Store, bringing an overhauled, fresh new look. The update is compatible with the Moto G, as well as other devices not available in Australia (Moto X, Droid Ultra, Mini and Maxx), as long as they’re running Android 4.4.
The new version specifically features a new, lighter coloured design, and a few new lenses through which to sort through your photos. In particular, there’s the current ‘Album’ view that was available earlier, but there’s now also a timeline view which allows you to view photos in the sequence taken, based on grouping by date.
There’s also a new Camera Roll mode that provides larger thumbnails and improved organisation of images. The update feels a lot like Google’s Photos app, but without the cloud tie-in.
If you’ve got a compatible handset you can grab it on the Play Store today.
ok. Moto phones only.
