Android cakeToday marks the 4th birthday of Ausdroid, and of course, we’re celebrating just a little bit. It’s been a long journey for us, particularly for Buzz and myself who’ve been around since day dot, but also for the rest of the team who’ve been with us for a few years as well.

In the lead-up to today’s festivities, we ran a giveaway for a Motorola Moto G, which ended at midnight, and we’ve drawn our winner this morning, Jon B from Sydney. Congratulations!

However, the fun doesn’t stop there. We’ve got more prizes to give away as well, including a major prize thanks to Samsung Australia.

Let’s run through the prizes:

  1. Samsung Galaxy Camera (Major Prize)
  2. LG Miracast Adapter
  3. Android figurines (there’s a couple, each prize is one figurine)
  4. A few other things, yet to be announced!

We enjoyed using RaffleCopter for the last giveaway (it’s easy for us, and it’s easy for you too), so we’re going to go with that mechanic again. As with the last competition, we’ll offer extra entries to those who share the competition socially, but you’ll get one entry just for being a member of our mailing list, and telling us so in the raffle widget.

Step One — Newsletter signup

A bit of a disclaimer, terms, etc

Our mailing list is used by Ausdroid only; we don’t sell the content of the list, and we’ll only use it to send things we think you’ll be interested in. You can unsubscribe at any time (though we hope you won’t!)

We will use the mailing list to send the occasional sponsored message; these will be clearly identified, and sent by us — the sponsor won’t have access to your name or email addresses.

The raffle is open already, and will close at 12.01am on Sunday 23 March 2014 AEDT. To be eligible to win, you must complete at least one of the steps shown in the raffle widget above, and you must be subscribed to the Ausdroid Newsletter at the time the raffle is drawn. Any winner who is found not to be a newsletter subscriber will not be eligible, and will not be considered to have won.

Otherwise, enter, and have fun. Good luck!
