LG F70 arrives exclusively on Optus – LTE speeds for a bargain price

LG has announced that their latest LG F Series phone – the LG F70 – will be available exclusively from Optus, with full access to both their 1800MHz as well as the 4G Plus networks, from their Yes Optus stores, telesales or online.

The LG F Series phones are LG’s budget line of LTE compatible phones, which offer a great looking handset, with good performance and connection speed but with a reduced price tag. Lambro Skropidis, General Manager Marketing for LG Electronics Australia says

The F70 epitomises LG’s commitment to offering customers optimised performance, beautiful design and a superior user experience at affordable prices. Bringing the handset to market on the Optus’ 4G Network further demonstrates LG’s 4G LTE device capabilities and will provide our customers with a mobile experience that is sure to impress.

Available in Black only, the LG F70 is can be purchased outright for $264, or on a $35 Optus MyPlan with no handset repayments. There’s a range of plans available, from $35 per month. There’s an Optus website for the F70 coming, which should have full plans but doesn’t appear to be live as yet has full plans for you to choose from.

The LG F70, will be running Android 4.4.2 out of the box and will come with many of the software features included on the entire LG range from the top of the line G series all the way down to the L Series. Features such as KnockCode, Plug and Pop and the ever trusty QSlide apps are included.

The LG F70 looks to be quite a decent handset, it’s not going to set the world on-fire with it’s hardware specs, but it will do all the general day-to-day smartphone tasks that are required, with the bonus of LTE speeds. It’s a good looking handset, with a lot of the design sensibilities that LG has instilled in their handsets since they launched the design-centric L Series. If you’re in the market for a well priced LTE capable handset, you should certainly check out the LG F70.
